About me
I’ve been designing websites, games, applications, virals and educational resources for over eleven years and have great passion for interactive design. I’m excited about what the web has evolved into over the past decade and love the fact I’m in a position to contribute to what it can become in the future.
I’m currently available as a freelance digital, interaction and flash designer in the Bath / Bristol area.

My role within a project is often to visually communicate its message but I agree with Bruno Munani when he said —“A designer is a planner with an aesthetic sense”. So I feel comfortable being involved with the concept, strategy, planning, pitching and user experience design of a project. Problem solving be it strategic, visual or technical is the most satisfying part of a project for me.
I was senior designer at Complete Control for seven years working on digital material for charities and children’s brands, as well as often providing project oversight for junior designers, programmers and illustrators. In 2007 I joined the University of the West of England as a Visiting Lecturer in Graphic Design whilst also working part time for a usability focused digital design agency. Since September 2009 I have been freelancing as a digital designer working on corporate brands at Dare West and e3, kids properties at Aardman Digital and Galactus as well as web applications for charities whilst at Think CS.
In September 2011 I created 52 by 52, a weekly photo challenge set by fifty-two accomplished photographers throughout the course of a year. It’s an on-going project with close to 200 members and challenges set by some of the world’s leading photographers from Magnum, National Geographic, VII and INSTITUTE.
I’m a naturally well organised person and manage my time accordingly which helps with balancing a busy freelance life and teaching commitments. A thorough, meticulous, hard-working approach leads to a high level of repeat business.
Documenting and categorising life seems to be part of a designer’s DNA, so my photos can be found on Flickr, opinions on Twitter, bookmarks on Delicious, musical taste on Last.fm, love of tea here and an interactive visualisation of my last 170+ projects.
